From 1991-1994 Florida State had a linebacker playing for them with a blend of speed and athleticism that helped set a new standard for the position. His name was Derrick Brooks. Brooks a first team All-American as a junior and senior led the Seminoles?ÇÖ defense during the 1993 National Championship campaign FSU?ÇÖs first ever national title. He earned All-ACC honors for his last three seasons in Tallahassee and was named the ACC Player of the Year in 1994.
